How to do the Split Jerk, step by step

  1. Rest the bar on the front of your shoulders, feet hip-width.
  2. Take a short, straight dip.
  3. Drive your legs explosively and send the bar up.
  4. Jump into a split, front shin vertical, back knee slightly bent.
  5. Catch the bar overhead with locked arms.
  6. Recover by stepping your front foot back first, then your back foot forward, and stand tall.
